Absence Reporting
Reporting an Absence:
To report an absence, please use this Online Form, email aewmsattendance@lvusd.org, or call (818) 880-4614 x31225. You must include the student's name, grade, and reason for absence.
Absences:
If no contact is made on the day of the absence, your child must return to school with a note written and signed by the parent or guardian, stating the date(s) of and reason for the absence. The state of California requires that each student has a verified absence.
If a student has been absent a full day of school, (s)he should report to their classroom upon returning to school.
Make Up Work:
Students should check Google Classroom for missing assignments. They can also email their teachers.
Students have the right to complete make up work related to an excused absence; full credit will be given. The make up period shall be no less than the length of the absence plus one day. Teachers have no obligation to allow make up work for unexcused absences, truant absences, or days missed due to suspension.
