Mission Statement:

Our ELA Department is dedicated to helping all students improve their skills and expand their experiences in reading, writing, language, speaking, and listening. We are committed to integrating technology and thoughtfully designing lessons that foster student engagement and learning, building relationships, and making important connections. Our philosophy emanates from the 6 C's of 21st Century Learning and the ISTE Standards for Students and Teachers. Our academic content is directly connected to the CA Common Core State Standards [see page 45 of the PDF for middle school].
