Dear A.E. Wright Middle School Families,

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal of such an exceptional school. I am excited to begin another outstanding year with our Spartan community. On behalf of the entire A.E. Wright staff, I would like to warmly welcome your family to the 2026–2027 school year.

At A.E. Wright, our mission is to develop the whole child by supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to fostering academic excellence while encouraging curiosity, resilience, and 21st century learning. We strive to create an inclusive environment where students learn the importance of tolerance, respect for others, and appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives. At AE Wright, we strive to differentiate instruction by designing lessons that are flexible, anticipating learner differences in ability, and offering multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression.

This year marks my 15th year as an administrator in the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Prior to entering administration, I spent 10 years as a high school Health and Physical Education teacher, coach, and athletic director. I began my administrative career at Agoura High School, where I served as an assistant principal for five years. I then had the privilege of serving as principal of Lupin Hill Elementary School for six years. I am now entering my fourth year as the proud principal of A.E. Wright Middle School.
A.E. Wright is truly a special place. Our dedicated and compassionate staff are among the most hardworking professionals I have had the pleasure of working with, and their commitment to students is evident every day. Please know that our entire team is committed to making this school year a positive, enriching, and memorable experience for every student.

This promises to be an exciting and rewarding year. We are fortunate to have a supportive community of families and staff who work together as partners in helping our students reach their fullest potential. The foundation of student success is built upon strong relationships and open communication between school and home. The guidance, encouragement, and support students receive from their families amplify the work we do in the classroom and help create meaningful opportunities for growth and achievement.

We look forward to working with parents and community members throughout the year as we prepare our students to become confident, well-rounded members of society.

Sincerely,

Scott Foli
