Howdy! I am SO excited to be starting my 14th year here at A. E. Wright. A. E. W. is truly a magical place, and I LOVE being a teacher here! I teach E.L.D., social science 7, and Yearbook. I have a son who will be a senior at Calabasas High and a daughter who will be an eighth grader at Stelle. I feel I am able to bring the perspective of both a parent and a teacher to my job. No, this isn't how I normally look, just on Halloween! I love to get dressed up and change the art room into a spooky place with spider webs, ghosts, and goblins all around! This will be my eighth year teaching art at AEW. I teach Advanced Art, Beginning Art, and Discovery Art. All three classes are very fun, and informative, too. Some of the things we like to do in art include paint, draw, make prints, throw pots on the wheels, hand build pots, carve plaster sculpture and more! I also have art club for anyone in the school that wants to come. Art club is on Wednesdays and Thursdays during lunch, and it is usually free! One special thing about me is that my son, Yoni, attends AEW. He will be in eighth grade this year. I love having him on campus!

This is my ninth year teaching science and my second year at AEW! I love teaching at AEW and I'm looking forward to the new school year. When I'm not teaching science you will find me spending time with my husband and two boys, Brandon and Colin, who attend Westlake Elementary. My hobbies include reading, music, going to art museums, and collecting J Crew dresses. I had a great summer with my family hiking in the Grand Canyon and Zion and look forward to sharing some of the rocks I collected. You can learn more about my class at the class blog!

This is my 8th year at AEW working in special education with 7th and 8th graders. Before that, I worked at Chaparral Elementary School and Rio Lindo in Oxnard. My son and daughter have gone through LVSUD schools K-12 and so I have experienced the District both as a teacher and a parent. I was born in Nortern Ireland and educated in England; I have traveled extensively in Europe and the Far East prior to settling in California.

I knew I wanted to be a teacher since the second grade. I still have the profession report 'Kristy, the Teacher', assigned that year. My choice of profession never changed, and I started teaching at A.E.Wright in 1987. I earned my teaching credential, Bachelor's degree, and Master's degree from CSUN. I also played volleyball throughout college. I am married to a firefighter/paramedic and have three teenage kids. I love to exercise, read, snow ski, go to the beach, and spend time with my family and friends. I wish I had time to learn how to be a good cook, speak fluent Spanish, or add an additional profession to my resume. However, I am extremely lucky to be doing what I always wanted to do: teach!

I graduated from Agoura High School in 1999 and earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from UCLA in 2003. After working in television as a Production Assistant for Fox Sports Net and a Special Effects Artist on the movie 'King Kong,' I decided that the best way to combine my love for writing, youth, and sports was to become a teacher/coach. I taught one year of English at Hillcrest Christian School in Thousand Oaks as well as two years at Agoura High School, and I have been coaching basketball as an Assistant Coach or a Head Coach for nine years. I am proud to currently serve as the JV Girls Basketball Head Coach at AHS for my third year of service! Outside of school, I am an avid Dodgers, Lakers, Raiders, and UCLA Bruins fan. I love golf, a good BBQ, and watching my favorite TV shows (The Office, House, Lie to Me, and Community). I look forward to meeting all of you and working with you to achieve your academic goals this year at AE Wright!

I have been teaching at A.E. Wright since 1993, but I have been a Spartan for much longer. Mr. Arthur E. Wright himself attended my 8th grade culmination! I also graduated from Agoura High School. AEW has always been a wonderful place, and I am eager to meet the students and start a new year. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, doing crossword puzzles, going to the beach, and spending time with my family, including our 3 dogs and 3 cats. I'm a lifelong UCLA fan, even in 'rebuilding years,' so maybe I'll see you at the Rose Bowl.

Hi! I'm very excited to be starting my second year at A.E. Wright Middle School. I previously was a kindergarten and first grade teacher at White Oak Elementary and Lupin Hill Elementary for six years. I'm thrilled to be teaching 7th and 8th graders! NO MORE TYING SHOES - YAY!! I hope that everyone has an awesome year!
