The Special Education Department provides services for students at A.E.Wright who have an active IEP.

6th Graders (incoming): Welcome to AEW!!!
You should check the home page for registration information and how to pick up your schedule.
It is a great idea to do a practice walk around before school starts so that you are familiar with how to get to your classes.
Parents: if you have any questions about your schedule that pertains to the IEP, you can email either the dept chair or the 6th grade teacher:

Case Manager: Each student will be assigned a case manager at the beginning of each school year. In most cases the case manager will be the teacher who has the most contact time with that student. For example, if a student has one special education class in math, the case manager would probably be that math teacher. Generally, any student in the Social Communication Program will have Mrs. George as his or her case manager.

The case manager is responsible for coordinating the IEP meetings, testing, and implementation of the IEP. Your child's case manager is your communication link for any IEP related issues.

Students are designated RSP or SDC by the percentage of time they spend in special education classes. However, all our classes are open to RSP and SDC based on individual needs and skill level.
